modular herb garden.

This project was selected first place overall for the American Society of Interior Designers' "Study Abroad" Competition. The project is a semi-modular design that serves to reflect the themes of the 2015 Milano Expo by synthesizing food, energy, planet and life by bringing people together, educating them on growing fresh ingredients locally and adapting to various surroundings.

The rectangular floor plan is designed in a way that it would be nestled into an existing structure (for example, a school, hospital, community center, residence) and then continues to the exterior where an herb garden begins and has the potential to expand into an orchard if space allows. The interior design strives to engage all of the senses and be responsible to our environment and communities
