This project was my first attempt at producing full scale furniture.  I did some research about oragmi and the idea of bending and folding as a prevalant force in nature from muscular anatomy to sound waves and mountain formations.  I was interested in the engineering of the furniture with the goal of creating new types of joinery that do not require the use of glue.  Check out my study models, sketchs and full scale umbrella_stand and side_table below!
